Commissioner of the Polish Pavilion at the Venice Art Biennale 1993 – 2001 and Polish participation in the Sao Paulo Biennale 1997, 2002, 2004, 2006.

 

Scientific work at the Institute of Art of the Polish Academy of Sciences 1973-1986. Founder of, among others, the EGIT Foundation (1986), Soros Center of Contemporary Art, Warsaw (1992), Foundation Institute for the Promotion of Art (1995); Director of the Zachęta National Art Gallery in Warsaw (1993-2001), Chairman of the Program Council and Program Director of the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw (2005-2007).
Didactic work at Jagiellonian University, Warsaw University and the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. Guest lecturer at Bard College, USA; Aalto University, Helsinki; Kunstakademie, Munich.
Consultant to the Museum of Modern Art, New York (2001-2002).
Member of the Board of Directors of the Manifesta 1 Foundation; Member of the Selection Committee for the Director of Documenta 12 and of the international associations AICA, CIMAM, IKT.
Fellow Wissenschaftkolleg zu Berlin 2015/2016
She currently hosts the author’s program Andymateria on TOK FM Radio and the Culture Section of the monthly magazine Vogue.pl, and also works as an independent author and curator.
